Ricky Gurney

After many years of working in sales (kitchens & bathrooms), which was never my forte, in January 2017, I took the leap and decided to launch a new career into pet portraits.

Having a background in design, and a degree in Product & Furniture Design, I set up RedRufus Pet Portraits. As I'd already hand drawn pictures of my own dogs & bearded dragon for my wife in 2016, we quickly created a business card and set up a Facebook site.

This soon led to pet photography, with local customers asking me to take photo's of their pets, and pet services within the Romney Marsh area - dog walking, pet sitting & overnight stays in your home.

Having grown up with various breeds of dogs from an early age, and being passionate about art, animals, excerise & photography, at the age of 47, I am thoroughly enjoying my working life and doing what I am best at.
